Camorristas Claim 6-1 Triumph
|
The Vieques Zumbadorcitos had to reckon with Fajardo Camorristas hurler Santiago Rubio. Rubio, who is tied for 4th in the LJP in quality starts with 10, overwhelmed the opposition in the 6-1 Camorristas triumph. The winning pitcher was Rubio, now 6-3. He tossed 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 5. Fajardo, at 25-25, sits in 7th place in the Liga José Padilla División Rosendo Matienzo Cintrón.
In the top of the second, 22-year old left fielder Eishoku Murata hit a 2-run single to right. The single, which was hit off of Miguel Salinas, gave Fajardo a 5-0 lead.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said Murata.
