Yauco Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
The Yauco Napoleonicos knocked off the Ponce Hidalgos, 10-6, in Liga Mariana Bracetti action at El Marenguito. Yauco pitcher and Caibarién, Cuba, native Miguel Ángel Guerrero had an outstanding performance. Yauco reliever Miguel Ángel Guerrero got the win, raising his record to 1-0. Joel Wainwright was tagged with the loss. Yauco is now 28-23.

The game-ending blow was delivered by Bert Wells in the bottom of the ninth. That's when he hit a grand slam home run off 20-year old left-handed pitcher Joel Wainwright to win it for Yauco and cause the home crowd to erupt in celebration.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Wells.
