Parquecito de Mayagüez played host to some high drama.

Despite the exploits of third baseman Mitsuyasu Akagi, the San Sebastian Husares were beaten by the Mayaguez Alfereces, 5-4, in 10 innings. Akagi was 2 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The 9th-place Alfereces sport a record of 24-26.

The Alfereces got a clutch hit from first baseman Ed McHaney. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Alfereces.

"The crowd lost its ever-loving mind today," said a grinning McHaney.
