The Yabucoa Pastelillos overcame a good performance by Humacao shortstop Darío Morales to knock off Humacao, 5-4, at Parquecito de Yabucoa. Morales went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. Heráclito Martínez, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. The Pastelillos are now 21-32, while the Aguaceros fall to 36-17.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Julio Nuño was at the plate when Yabucoa scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Pastelillos to go in front, 5-4.
Yabucoa manager Carlos Robledo said his team played a "no nonsense" game.
