Aibonito beat Las Piedras in a rain-soaked ballgame.
Callum Thomson made an impact in the 5-3 Aibonito win over Las Piedras. Thomson, who is tied for 8th in the LJP in triples with 3, was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Billy King, the winner, is now 4-3. He struck out 4 and walked 3 over 5.2 innings, while allowing 3 runs on 11 hits. John Carter closed the game out for Aibonito, earning his 2nd save.
Thomson contributed a big hit, a 2-run double, for Aibonito in the bottom of the fourth. With his team trailing 3-2, Thomson took a slider from José Vázquez and stroked the double to left. His 13th double of the season allowed the Limbers to leap in front, 4-3.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Thomson.
With the victory, the Limbers record stands at 32-21.
