The rain did not keep Culebra and Gurabo from finishing their game.

The Careyes grabbed a win, 8-2, at Parquecito de Gurabo, overcoming a fine effort from Gurabo pitcher Duane Bradshaw. Bradshaw went 8 innings and allowed 2 runs. Chim Phan earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. He upped his record to 1-2.

The most important at-bat for Culebra came in the top of the tenth inning, when center fielder Shadaf Hassani stroked a 1-0 fastball to center for a run-scoring single, putting Culebra up, 3-2.

"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager Juan Ortiz.

The win makes Culebra 30-22.
