Ponce got a valiant performance from pitcher Ricardo Torres, but it wasn't enough to beat the Maricao Ristretti. Maricao won the game, 4-3. Torres threw 8.2 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The win went to Cain Bradnock in relief. His record improves to 8-6. Joel Wainwright took the loss. Maricao got a clutch hit from Gideon Holl. The pinch hitter launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Ponce manager Bill McCloskey.
