The losses keep piling up for the Mayaguez Alfereces.

The Quebradillas Escondidos in 14 innings defeated the Mayaguez Alfereces, 3-2. Starting pitcher Carlos Esparza was a big part of his team's success. The 12th-place Escondidos are 19-37.

Quebradillas got a knockout punch from Vicente Jiménez. The shortstop hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 14th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.

"I want us to come out, have fun, hit some balls, and score. We're having a tough time," said Carlos Baca, the Mayaguez manager.
