Guayanilla Rallies to 5-3 Win
Parquecito de Cabo Rojo was the site for Liga Mariana Bracetti action featuring the Cabo Rojo Maravillosos and Guayanilla Tormentas.

The Guayanilla Tormentas topped the Cabo Rojo Maravillosos, 5-3, with right fielder Edgardo Cappelletti playing a big role. Cappelletti went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk. He scored 2 times for the Tormentas in the win. Rubén Valdez snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 2.1 innings. He's now 3-3 on the season.

Guayanilla used the timely hitting of José Mera to capture the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Tormentas on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but he made it count.

"Good to pick up this win," Cappelletti said.

The third-place Tormentas now have a win-loss record of 33-23.
