Wet weather did not postpone the Quebradillas-Lares ballgame.

Led by Vicente Bazán, the Quebradillas Escondidos defeated the Lares Gritantes, 7-6. Bazán went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4 for the Escondidos. Quebradillas has now won 4 in a row.

Quebradillas used the timely hitting of Manuel Ramírez to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Escondidos on top, 7-6. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"Winning is seldom easy in this league," said Ramírez.
