Sultanes Win 7-6 Nail-Biter Versus Timoneles
The Puerto La Cruz Timoneles got a sterling performance from second baseman David Cuevas, but the Caracas Sultanes still prevailed, 7-6. Cuevas went 3-3 with 3 singles and 4 walks. The win went to Justo Parra in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Florentino Cruz took the loss. Puerto La Cruz now is 10-6.

The Sultanes got a clutch hit from left fielder Enrique Delgado. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Sultanes.

"We take it day by day here," said Delgado, "and today was a good one for us."
