Shipwrights Lose at Home, 5-1, to Edinburgh

Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Glasgow Shipwrights take on the Edinburgh Claymores.
Edinburgh Claymores starter Avelino Oliva pitched a good game to help his team take down the Glasgow Shipwrights, 5-1. The third-place Claymores now have a record of 62-60.
Fernando Rodas, who is tied for 2nd in the BFS&I in stolen bases with 63, chipped in a 3-run home run for Edinburgh in the top of the second. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
"You want to go out there and put up zeroes, that's the main thing," said Oliva. "You don't want to get caught in one of those back-and-forth, run-for-run games."
