Caballeros Use Late Rally to Win
The Merida Caballeros picked up a win at Campo de Valencia, knocking off the Valencia Industriales, 5-3. Starting pitcher Humberto Camarillo was a big reason why. The winner was Camarillo. He threw 8.0 innings allowing 3 runs. The loser was Ambrosio Artayett. Quilvio González locked down his 2nd save.

Merida relied on the hitting of Muño Nájera to pick up the win. The right fielder ripped a 2-run triple in the top of the eighth inning to put the Caballeros on top, 5-3. For the game, Nájera had 1 triple and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"Humberto works, he fights, and he keeps a good attitude," said Caballeros manager Plinio Cardona.

The Caballeros improved their record to 10-17 by beating Valencia.
