Limbers Lose, 4-2, as Tranquilos Rally
|
The umbrellas came out during the Maunabo-Aibonito contest at Parquecito de Aibonito.
Maunabo registered a win at Parquecito de Aibonito by beating the Aibonito Limbers, 4-2. Pitcher Martín Mandujano was one reason why the Tranquilos triumphed. Mandujano yielded 2 runs over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 4, and struck out 9. His record improves to 2-4. Carlos Esparza recorded his 4th save for Maunabo.
Abelardo Cortez, the Maunabo third baseman, contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the fourth inning to make the score 1-0, Tranquilos. For the game, Cortez went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Mandujano.
With the win over Aibonito, the Tranquilos improved to 39-21.
