The Vega Baja Dulzones beat the Toa Baja Tordos, 6-4, at Parquecito de Toa Baja. Rubén Cifuentes starred for Vega Baja. He went 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Vega Baja pitcher George Clary got the win, upping his record to 6-6. Raúl Melgar got the loss. Gianmaria Troncoso got the save, the 6th for him this season.

A critical at-bat came in the top of the seventh inning when the Dulzones sent 22-year-old left fielder Fergus Kerridge to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a run-scoring single, to put Vega Baja on top, 4-2.

"Enjoyed this one," Kerridge told the Vega Baja Times. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The 10th-place Dulzones improved to 27-32.
