The Humacao Aguaceros beat the Cayey Brumosos, 5-4, in 12 innings at Parquecito de Humacao. Ruben Brown, in particular, was impressive. He was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Éric Desprez, 3-4, earned the win in relief. He allowed 2 runs on 4 hits in 4.1 innings. The 10th-place Brumosos dropped to 31-32.

The decisive moment came in the bottom of the 12th for Humacao. That's when Niso Romero hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Florentino Costello to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Enjoyed this one," Romero told the Humacao Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
