Mayaguez Upended by Lares, 3-1
At Parquecito de Lares, the Mayaguez Alfereces and Lares Gritantes were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Lares Gritantes went home winners at Parquecito de Lares, thanks in large part to starter Luis Hernández. Hernández stifled the Mayaguez Alfereces, enabling Lares to grab the 3-1 win. Lares bumps their record to 29-34 with the win.

Lares took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Stéphane Christophe hit a run-scoring single to make it 2-1, Gritantes.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Christophe told the Lares Observer.
