Isabela Triumphs with Late Surge
Aguada got a terrific performance from pitcher Alex Westwood, but it wasn't enough to beat the Isabela Jerezanos. Isabela won the Parquecito de Aguada contest, 6-5. Westwood threw 8.1 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. Isabela reliever Cedric Gray was the winner. His record is now 3-1. Emanuel Ruelas took the loss. Isabela is 40-24 and Aguada, with the loss, 31-35.

Isabela used the timely hitting of Ernesto Aguilar to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Jerezanos on top, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We ground out the win," said Aguilar. "That's all that matters."
