Getting an impressive start from Mateo González, Yauco beat Maricao by the score of 3-1. Yauco is second in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Lola Rodríguez de Tió with a record of 40-26.

The Ristretti had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Napoleonicos going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old shortstop Sean Scott came to the plate. Scott hit a run-scoring double on a 0-1 slider from Maricao hurler Orestes López. It was Scott's 25th double of the year.

"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said González.
