Cayey and Coamo got after it at Parquecito de Cayey.
The Cayey Brumosos topped the Coamo Perritos de Pradera by a score of 6-0. Leading the way was third baseman Ed Ewing. Ewing was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Brumosos. Picking up the save was Ismael Vega, his 1st.
With two out in the bottom of the seventh, Eulalio García had a game-changing hit. The Brumosos first baseman slammed a run-scoring single off Álvaro Ramos, making the score 2-0, Cayey.
"We're trending in the wrong direction," said Coamo manager Pedro Sousa.
The slumping Perritos de Pradera have lost 7 straight.
