Barceloneta took on Arecibo in front of a lively crowd.

Barceloneta registered a win at Estadio Lupercal by beating the Arecibo Cachorros, 4-3. Pitcher Raúl Figueroa was one reason why the Guardiamarinas triumphed. Jason Crane got credit for the save for Barceloneta. It was his 4th of the year.

Barceloneta used a clutch at-bat from Yoshii Kikuchi to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Guardiamarinas ahead, 4-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Arecibo skipper Juan García.

Barceloneta, at 22-45, occupies last place in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Arturo Schomburg.
