The Adjuntas Beatos beat the Ciales Guapetones, 3-1. Adjuntas pitcher and Solihull, England, native Douggie Hunter led the way. Picking up the save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Sean Daniel. Adjuntas raised its record to 42-26 with the win.
Adjuntas third baseman Inocente Rojo contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the third. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 43rd hit of the season and put the Beatos ahead, 2-1.
Hunter said afterward that "winning, obviously, is the main objective."
