Alfereces Stumble, Lose 5-4 to Ermitanos
The Camuy Ermitanos topped the Mayaguez Alfereces, 5-4, at Parquecito de Mayagüez. Camuy second baseman Florentino Pérez was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2 for 3 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Ermitanos improved their record to 29-40 with the win over Mayaguez.

Pérez hit a 2-run single in the top of the third to help the Camuy cause. The single, which was hit off Nicanor Sifuentes, allowed Camuy to take a 2-0 lead.

"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Mayaguez manager Carlos Baca said, following the tough loss.
