Soggy conditions did not keep Maunabo and Humacao from playing their scheduled game.

In a well-pitched game between the Maunabo Tranquilos and the Humacao Aguaceros, pitcher Noé Martínez was superb. The Maunabo right-hander helped his team win, 3-1. At 38-31, the Tranquilos find themselves in 4th place in the Liga José Padilla División Carmen Bozello y Guzmán.

Martínez earned the win, going 7.1 strong innings for Maunabo. The right-hander allowed just 2 hits, while striking out 7. Humacao hitters had little success against him.

"Really good pitchers have that ability to raise their game when they need to," said Maunabo manager Miguel Hernández.
