|
The Guayanilla Tormentas topped the Santa Isabel Petisos by a score of 8-4. Leading the way was right fielder Quincy Cotton. Cotton was 2-2 with a double and 2 walks, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Tormentas. After today's action, Guayanilla sits at 45-26; Santa Isabel slips to 39-32.
Guayanilla used the timely hitting of Francisco Lobo to seize the win. The left fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Tormentas on top, 5-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"It never gets old," said Cotton. "Winning, that is."
