Dulzones Win Nail-Biter in 13
The Vega Baja Dulzones did just enough to secure a victory over the Bayamon Herradones, 3-2, in 13 innings at Parquecito de Vega Baja. Nobody did more than pitcher Henry Wilkes. The win was credited to Germán Hernández in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Pierre-Yves Baudin took the loss. With the win, the Dulzones improved to 36-36.

Up to bat in the bottom of the 13th, 16-year old right fielder Paul Simms had a chance to be the hero. Bayamon pitcher Pierre-Yves Baudin wanted to foil that plan. But with one out, Simms hit a sacrifice fly. The Dulzones had themselves a thrilling win.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Bayamon manager Timoteo González.
