The Aguadilla Alevines beat the Mayaguez Alfereces, 6-3, at Parquecito de Mayagüez. Luther Mulder, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Keegan Butler, the winning pitcher, is now 6-6. He went 9 innings, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits, while fanning 5 and walking 1. Aguadilla, at 31-42, holds down 9th place in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Manuel Corchado y Juarbe.
With Aguadilla leading 2-1 in the top of the fourth, Mulder hit a fastball from Mark Bell for a 3-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Alevines ahead, 5-1.
"In baseball, you have your ups and downs," said Mayaguez manager Adolfo Peralta. "You just try to stay level-headed the whole time."
