Serranos Rally Late to Clip Caguas
|
Fans watched the Utuado Serranos and the Caguas Ruidosos fight to the finish.
The Utuado Serranos clipped the Caguas Ruidosos, 4-3, in 10 innings at Parquecito de Utuado. The standout performance belonged to Utuado pitcher and Ichihara, Japan, native Hirokazu Yonamine. Utuado reliever Rutilio Cervantes picked up the win to move to 14-5. Aimar Olivares suffered the loss.
The Serranos procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Martín Zaragoza. In the bottom of the tenth, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Utuado manager Stanford Marleau.
Utuado, at 43-30, sits in 4th place in the Liga José Padilla División Eugenio Ortiz.
