The rain could not keep the home crowd from enjoying a good ballgame.
Penuelas Idiofonos starter José Ruiz found his groove in his team's 5-4 win over the San German Hermosos. Munoto Tsuda earned the save for Penuelas, his 7th.
Penuelas used the timely hitting of Herbert Miksik to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Idiofonos on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Penuelas manager Napoleón Báez.
The first-place Idiofonos lifted their record to 45-28.
