Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Aprendices beat the Aguaceros.

The Guayama Aprendices picked up a win at Parquecito de Guayama, downing the Humacao Aguaceros, 5-2. On the mound for Guayama was right-hander Justino Rodríguez, who played a pivotal role in the win. Rodríguez went the distance for Guayama. He gave up 2 runs on 11 hits.

The Aguaceros had been locked in a 1-1 tie with the Aprendices going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old left fielder Arnaldo Valdovinos came to the plate. Valdovinos hit a run-scoring double on a 0-1 fastball from Humacao hurler Lewis McKenzie. It was Valdovinos's 7th double of the year.

"I was just trying to execute one pitch at a time," said Rodríguez.
