The Bayamon Herradones picked up a win at Parquecito de Barceloneta, knocking off the Barceloneta Guardiamarinas, 3-2, in 10 innings. Starting pitcher Ambiórix Márquez played a key role in the triumph. Medardo Salas snagged the win in relief. He goes to 4-2 on the season. Cameron McMillan suffered the loss. The loss makes Barceloneta 39-41.
Cenón Gallegos had the most critical at-bat for Bayamon. With one in the top of the tenth inning, Gallegos hit a 2-1 fastball from Rubén Reyes for a run-scoring single. It put Bayamon in front, 3-2.
"There are no moral victories," said losing manager Raúl Ortiz.
