Anasco Beats Quebradillas in Extra Innings
The Anasco Guerreros rode a solid performance from 20-year-old starting pitcher Kazuma Umemoto to a win, beating the Quebradillas Escondidos, 4-2, at Parquecito de Quebradillas. Anasco reliever Wilfredo Holguín picked up the win, raising his record to 5-2. Platón González was tagged with the loss. At 35-47, the Guerreros are currently 9th in the Liga Mariana Bracetti División Manuel Corchado y Juarbe.

Anasco used the timely hitting of Adam Strobel to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Guerreros on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 6 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I just try to go out and give it 100 percent every game," Strobel told a local reporter after the game. "That's my mantra, and like today, it will pay off more often than not."
