Sylvain Roy pitched well, but his team, the Toa Alta Sonetistas, still dropped a 3-1 decision to the Guaynabo Cazadores at Parquecito de Guaynabo. Guaynabo is now 40-43, Toa Alta 36-45.
Had Miguel Rodríguez not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Rodríguez hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Cazadores.
"Not to be Captain Obvious," said Toa Alta manager Rómulo Ruiz, "but we need to push more runs across the plate."
