Nieto reaches base 3 times to Ignite Peritos Offense

Peritos catcher Sancho Nieto left his imprint on his team's 9-2 win over the Coamo Perritos de Pradera. Nieto was 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Las Piedras in the contest. Las Piedras pitcher Christian Vacher got the win, upping his record to 2-2. Alberto Espinal got the loss. The Peritos now have a mark of 39-45.
Pascual Flores had a big 2-run home run for the Peritos in the bottom of the third inning. With Las Piedras trailing 2-1 and a runner on 1st, he sized up a fastball from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Alberto Espinal and punished it. The result was his 4th home run of the season, which put the Peritos on top, 3-2.
"What a lackluster performance," lamented losing manager Mateo Cerda.
