Rain could not dampen the pregame excitement of Jayuya fans. But the subsequent loss, and a disappointing one at that, to the Ruidosos had to.

The Caguas Ruidosos bombarded the Jayuya Picachos, 15-3, at Parquecito de Jayuya. Leading the blitz was Eladio Vásquez. He was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3 for Caguas. The winning pitcher was Ricardo Puello. His record now stands at 9-9. The right-hander went 9 innings, allowing 3 runs on 7 hits for the Ruidosos.
