Caguas pitcher Troilo Gómez was good. Really good. The right-hander, who is tied for 5th in the LJP with a 1.75 ERA, twirled a 4-hit shutout to beat the Naranjito Predilectos, 2-0. The loss makes Naranjito 54-39.

Caguas got a clutch hit from Monte Pfyl. The pinch hitter launched a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a kill shot.

"The crowd was raucous," said Pfyl.
