Lares second baseman Diego Bru was sensational. He went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles. But it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Rincon beat the Gritantes, 6-5. Andrés Rojas earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He upped his record to 5-2. The win puts the Maquinistas at 48-48, while the Gritantes drop to 54-40.

The two teams entertained the Parquecito de Rincón crowd with some good baseball.
