The Barquisimeto Crepusculares overcame a good performance by Coro catcher Adrián Nevárez to knock off Coro, 4-2, at Barquisimeto Stadium. Nevárez was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. Barquisimeto reliever Esteban Delgado snagged the win, upping his record to 2-2. José Shaefer shouldered the loss. With the win, the Crepusculares have a record of 28-36.
Nava, Mexico-born Raúl Castillo came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Crepusculares trailing 2-1, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Barquisimeto on top.
"It was a good effort all around," said Castillo.
