Barquisimeto Stadium played host to some dramatic action.
The Barquisimeto Crepusculares dealt the Valencia Industriales a 4-3 loss at Barquisimeto Stadium. Eufrasio Flores, who finished 5th in the LO in doubles with 29 in 1911, was the star on offense. He was 4 for 4 with 4 singles and 2 walks. With the win, Barquisimeto has a record of 24-26. Valencia falls to 19-32.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Flores hit a fastball from Ambrosio Artayett for a run-scoring single. The Crepusculares, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"I'll play 10 innings, I'll play 20," said Crepusculares manager Jim Corkum. "Whatever it takes to win the ballgame."
