The Merida Caballeros knocked off the Coro Bizantinos, 9-3, in Liga Oeste action at Caballeros Ballpark. Merida pitcher and Paisley, Scotland, native Shaun McKinnon had an outstanding performance. McKinnon got the win, improving to 9-5. He gave up 8 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 3 runs. Merida is now 38-33.

In the bottom of the sixth, Cupid Childs delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Merida first baseman hit a 2-run single, putting the Caballeros in front, 9-3.
