The rain came, as predicted, but the Maracaibo Independientes and Barquisimeto Crepusculares were able to complete their ballgame.

The Maracaibo Independientes picked up a win at Estadio de Maracaibo, knocking off the Barquisimeto Crepusculares, 5-3. Starting pitcher Efraín Cisneros was a big reason why. The Independientes bumped their record to 47-29 with this win.

Maracaibo took a 5-1 lead on Vicente Segovia's 29th triple of the season. The bases-clearing triple, which Segovia hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Barquisimeto pitcher Miguel Cortez visibly frustrated.

"We'll kick back tonight and enjoy this win," said Cisneros.
