Industriales right fielder Apolonio Heredia left his mark on his team's 7-6 win over the Merida Caballeros. Heredia, who leads the LO in doubles with 20, went 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles for Valencia in the contest. The last-place Industriales improved to 28-49.

Neftalí Olivares was the walk-off hero for Valencia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Industriales first baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We need to get rid of the bad mojo," said Olivares. "Maybe this win will help."
