Late Offense Lifts Puerto La Cruz to 4-2 Victory
Puerto La Cruz pitcher Aldomiro González had a large part in his team subduing the Cumana Atunes, 4-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the left-hander. Puerto La Cruz pitcher Martín Saldaña got the win. He's now 5-0. Baldovino Santillán was tagged with the loss. The second-place Timoneles improved to 46-34.

Telmo Carrascalo, who finished 4th in the LO in wins above replacement with 5.9 in 1910, aided the Puerto La Cruz cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman was 2-3 with a double. He drove in 2 runs.

"Aldomiro -- his tempo and rhythm were good," said Timoneles manager Egidio Martínez. "He was the key to us winning."
