The Angostura Amargados pinned a convincing loss on the Nueva Esparta Cunaguaros, 11-3, at Estadio de Angostura. Cristino Herrera was a main factor in the win. He was 4 for 4 with 4 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for Angostura. Angostura has now won 4 straight.

Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Estadio de Angostura seemed to enjoy watching the Liga Este action.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Angostura skipper Bruce Lowry.
