Dedicated fans weathered the storm to watch their beloved Crepusculares beat the Independientes.

The Barquisimeto Crepusculares downed the Maracaibo Independientes, 12-3, at Barquisimeto Stadium. Eurípides Rodríguez led the way, going 3-for-5 for Barquisimeto. Rafael Ramón was the winner. Over 5.2 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 9 hits, with 2 walks and no strikeouts. Esteban Delgado was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 6 of 12 save opportunities.

The Crepusculares got a big hit from second baseman Eufrasio Flores. Facing Maracaibo pitcher Duarte Flores in the bottom of the sixth, Flores pounded a 2-run double to right-center. His 15th double of the season put the Crepusculares ahead, 6-3.

"Bad day," Maracaibo manager Baldomero Neave said. "New day tomorrow."

The win makes Barquisimeto 44-46.
