5 Straight Wins for Albtraeume
|
Wien and Salzburg took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
Wien picked up a win at Freud-Stadion, bumping off the Salzburg Wunderkinder, 8-1. Pitcher Guenther Bitschi was a major reason the Albtraeume emerged victorious. In 9 innings, Bitschi surrendered 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 2. He allowed 1 run.
Lukas Schopp contributed to the Wien win with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the catcher had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 4 RBI.
"The vibe's good," said Wien manager Antonio Padilla. "We've got to keep it going."
The loss makes the Wunderkinder 7-11.
