Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Praha Chasomjeritchi take on the Bratislava Bojovnitsi.
Good production from right fielder Otmar Maxa helped the Bratislava Bojovnitsi topple the Praha Chasomjeritchi, 5-2. Maxa went 3-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Bojovnitsi. Vavrik Spur got the win, improving to 8-3. He held the Chasomjeritchi to 2 runs on 4 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 3 and walking 3.
Bratislava took a 4-1 lead on Maxa's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Josh Holland in the top of the seventh, propelled Bratislava to the win.
"If you pitch well, you give yourself some opportunities," said Bratislava manager Brad Frauhiger.
The win makes Bratislava 29-16.
