A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Wien Albtraeume and Rijeka Torpeda.

Wien beat Rijeka on the strength of starting pitcher Roland Metternich's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 5-2. Metternich picked up the win for Wien, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 8 hits. He now sports a record of 12-7.

Tied up with the Torpeda in the bottom of the fifth inning, the Albtraeume got a boost from shortstop Tobias Prodoprigora. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Prodoprigora saw a 0-2 fastball from Dimitrije Djokovic and hit a run-scoring single to break the stalemate and put Wien on top, 1-0.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Prodoprigora. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The 4th-place Albtraeume now have a win-loss record of 35-37.
