Rijeka Sends Venezia Packing with 4-2 Loss
Despite the rain, the fans at Jadransko Stadion enjoyed a good ballgame.

The Rijeka Torpeda got a marvelous performance from pitcher Dimitrije Ogrijenovic. The right-hander kept the Venezia offense from ever getting much traction. The result was an impressive 4-2 Rijeka victory at Jadransko Stadion. Ogrijenovic, who is tied for 10th in the OLK with a 1.21 WHIP, went the distance for Rijeka. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits.

Early in the game, shortstop Djordje Ljotic had a 3-run home run for Rijeka. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the Torpeda on top, 3-0.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Ljotic said in reaction to the win.

Rijeka, now 37-41, holds down 6th place in the Allgemeine Teilung.
