Dolomiti Pull Out Late-Game Win, 5-4
No one was more impactful than Beniamino Gortana in the 5-4 Bolzano win over Leipzig. Gortana was 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Pasqualino Catenacci notched the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2.1 innings. His record now sits at 3-2. The Dolomiti now have a mark of 53-33.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Kaufmaenner allowed the Dolomiti to score the winning run.

"When you win, you always have confidence," said Bolzano skipper Roberto Baldera. "Nobody likes to lose. Losing is a downer. That's how we look at it. It's always good to win."
